Shoshanna's bodywork training began in 1989 with a comprehensive 1000-hour holistic program at The New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, Albuquerque, New Mexico. This included the study of Therapeutic Massage, Polarity, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Hydrotherapy, Colon Therapy, Herbal Medicine, Flower Remedies, Nutrition, and Body/Mind counseling skills. A large part of her work experience took place in a dynamic spa environment at Ten Thousand Waves Mountain Spa in Santa Fe, NM, where she became a Spa and Watsu therapist for many years.
Over the years her advanced continuing education trainings have included Neuromuscular and Connective Tissue work, as well as the study of Homeopathy, Ayurveda, and Ayurvedic Bodywork.
In 2001, Shoshanna made a natural transition into her teaching career as a Deep Tissue Instructor at The Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI), Washington, DC. She developed an "Introduction to Spa and Hydrotherapy" class for PMTI, which she continues to teach each semester. She now teaches Introduction to Ayurvedic Bodywork and Hot Stone Therapy workshops on the east coast throughout the year. All of this diverse and extensive "hands-on" and teaching experience along with her passion for Ayurveda is brought to these classes which are practical and enjoyable.
