AMTA Applauds Craigslist Decision Calls for Protection of Massage Therapists

PMTI Alum Ginger Ingalls to Publish Article in Industry Journal


Congratulations to Ginger Ingalls! Ginger was invited to publish an article in Cranial Wave, a journal of the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America. Ginger expains, "This piece integrates what I have been taught and a sense of pioneering and following my heart. It comes out of my daily practice of contemplating my S.O.A.P. notes that I write, and then writing in my diary about what feels new, interesting, or refreshing."

Don't miss our Introductory Massage Therapy Classes!


If you are considering massage therapy as a career consider enrolling in one of our introductory massage therapy classes. We offer one-day introductory classes called the "Touch of Massage" as well as 18-hour introductory classes called the "Heart of Touch". We also offer a short evening course in Couples Massage. These classes will introduce you to our curriculum and method of teaching, for which we are well known.

PMTI Awarded Grant from Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation


In April of 2007 PMTI was awarded a grant to provide no cost massage to low-income breast cancer patients in the Washington, DC metropolitain area. Navigate to the research web page for more information.

PMTI Awards Scholarships for Massage and Cancer Work


Thanks to the generosity of Peg Buzy’s family, PMTI wilisable to offer scholarships for advance coursework in Massage Therapy and Cancer Training. Peg served PMTI and our students for many years in our Fieldwork program, and spearheaded the nursing home project that is the first field project for Level 1 students. The Peg Buzy scholarships are meant to help defray the costs of special training in working with clients living with cancer in order to encourage more work in this area. Recipients are expected to come back and share the information with PMTI students, in addition to contributing their skills to those living with cancer.
