Hello! We are a therapeutic massage and energy healing studio based in Arlington, VA since 2019, that specializes in clinical and neuromuscular cupping massage therapy to provide the best adjunct therapy for pain relief of chronic muscular issues. Other services are also provided to include Hijama (wet cupping) as well as energy healing in the form of Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Chakra Blockage Release, and combined massage/energy healing services. We are a Women/Minority-owned business and provide a safe and inclusive space for all to include BIPOC and LGBTQIA+. We are expanding! and seek professional, licensed massage therapists to work in Arlington, VA. This is an independent contractor position for weekdays, weekends and early evenings. Our clients are the local community of the DC metro area seeking highly customized therapeutic massage and we strive to provide the most fitting service to the best of our abilities. We work by appointment only, in a quiet, calm location with flexible scheduling and recovery time between appointments. My objective is to continue to grow the practice to best serve the Arlington community and hope to grow together with long-term staff!

Salary: 30% of service rate at time of hire ($37-75+) plus 30% of add-ons plus 100% of tips (Venmo/Cash). Any company training is paid at $18/hr.

This position is not benefits-eligible at this time.


Detailed Job Description & Requirements:

-Create excellent experience for clients, including accepting feedback and comments, as provided, with openness and a desire to exceed expectations.

-Perform 60, 90 and 120 minute massages.

-Promote health and wellness benefits of consistent massage therapy to clients.

-Service clients to resolve painful or tense areas of the body.

-Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body

-Guide and advise clients regarding relaxation, posture, stretching, etc.

-Must be able to perform professionally to help grow the studio.

-Maintain cleanliness of the massage room.



Minimum Qualifications:
-Have a massage therapy license in good standing in VA.

-Thorough knowledge of the body and have an interest in therapeutic massage.

- Strong verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.

- Reliable transportation.

- Extremely reliable and committed to being on time and consistent with scheduled appointments.

- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.



Preferred Qualifications:

-Have a certification OR experience in clinical massage or similar areas (e.g. trigger point therapy, myofascial release therapy, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, stretching), and hot stone massage.

-Have a certification in neuromuscular cupping therapy.

-Have a certification OR experience in energy healing modalities such as Reiki, Chakra Blockage Release, Craniosacral Therapy

-Have a certification in IASTM such as Graston Technique.



Equipment, linens and oil are provided but if you have an allergy or preference, you are welcome to provide your own with approval. You will have view access to the scheduler and be notified of appointments via email.
