My mother, who is 93, has Parkinson's. She's developed hand and wrist contractures and also edema in her feet due to poor circulation and immobility. She's under JSSA hospice through whom she's had some wonderful massage therapists, I believe all graduates of Potomac.
She currently has a therapist who sees her somewhat irregularly about once a month. I would love to line up a regular therapy session on a weekly basis--and voluntary, if possible. (Resources are dwindling quickly, with private aides on top of assisted living fees). But we would consider paying a reduced fee.
I'm looking for someone who has experience working with the elderly--and Parkinson's in particular. My mother resides at 5 Star Premier Residences (8100 Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase, just north of 410).
