Licensed Massage Therapist (Independent Contractor, Part-Time) – Takoma Park, MD

We’re seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing spa team in Takoma Park, MD as an Independent Contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and professional massage therapist who enjoys a calm, client-focused environment and is passionate about helping people feel their best. Our spa sees a steady demand in inquiries for massage therapy, and with little competition in the area, this is a great chance to grow.

This position offers a very competitive commission and flexible scheduling. Therapists with an existing client base are preferred but not required.

Position Details:

Status: Independent Contractor
Location: Takoma Park, MD
Schedule: Part-time (2-3 days weekly), with occasional opportunities for special events and the opportunity to grow to Full Time.
Compensation: Highly competitive commission + Tips
Responsibilities:

Provide custom therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, and prenatal massage sessions tailored to client needs
Create a relaxing and professional atmosphere for clients
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with spa standards
Communicate effectively with clients to assess needs and recommend appropriate treatments or home care
Participate in spa events, and paid offsite wellness experiences occasionally
Qualifications:

Valid Massage Therapy License (required)
Must be reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative environment
Experience in custom therapeutic, deep tissue, and hot stone modalities required
