The PMTI Massage Clinics
Since 1976, PMTI has been preparing massage practitioners to join the health care community. Many of the area's best massage therapists received their training at PMTI.
Our massage clinics are open by appointment only. Whether you’re visiting us for your first massage or you come to see us on a regular basis, we offer a variety of appointment times each day to accommodate your schedule and to help you have a relaxing experience.

PMTI Graduate Clinic Massage: 55-60 minutes, $65
This experience offers our clients a choice of qualified practitioners who have recently completed their training, and are offering massages at a fee lower than the usual professional rate. These practitioners benefit by gaining experience in the business aspects of private practice, and the professional aspects of building relationships with multiple clients.
Graduate clinic massages are private and offered seven days a week all year round except holidays.
PMTI Graduate Clinic Schedule (days and times subject to change)

Due to Covid, the PMTI Student Clinic is currently closed.
PMTI Student Clinic Massage: 55-60 minutes, $45
Student Clinic sessions are Swedish massage by Intermediate (Segment 2) or Advanced (Segment 3) students. The primary focus is to give students hands-on experience working with a diverse population in a clinical environment, while practicing and refining skills learned in the classroom. Because the Clinic is a component of our Professional Training Program, PMTI can offer massage more economically than in many professional practices.
Note: Student massages are observed by instructors and other students through a discreet window (curtains are closed during client's changing). Student massages are available Wednesdays through Saturdays, and only while classes are in session.

Note: Specific therapists may not be requested by gender or level of training. Additionally, pre-natal clients or clients with serious medical issues are not seen in the Student Clinic, we are happy to address those needs in the Graduate Clinic.

Why get a massage?

More and more studies indicate there are a number of benefits from getting a massage. It can improve injury repair time, mental health and attitude, and performance at all levels. A typical massage will stretch and loosen muscles and connective tissue, improving blood and lymph flow throughout the body. According to recent research studies massage therapy has been shown to be effective in:
-
Soothing chronic back pain better than any other
complementary therapies -
Decreasing the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome
-
Reducing anxiety and lowering blood pressure
in stroke patients
-
Easing post-operative pain
-
Reducing headache frequency
-
Easing alcohol withdrawal symptoms
Massage therapy has also been the focus of studies on improvements in symptoms of cancer patients. Following massage therapy, 50% of surveyed cancer patients reported a reduction in symptoms of pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety, nausea, and depression.
